CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Corona goes beyond care with activities that help people improve the quality of their lives and bring hope to those who have none.
Corona is associated with the Shree C.U.Shah Pragnachakshu Mahila Seva Kunj in Surendranagar that runs a hostel that accommodates over 200 blind girls. The girls are trained to become self-reliant by imparting vocational skills. Every year five girls are married to suitable blind grooms who are then supported financially for a year by which time they are able to sustain their lives comfortably.
We support the Niradhar Vidhwa Mahila Kalyan Kendra in Surendranagar which helps widows become financially independent by honing and developing skills like cooking and teaching and finding them jobs.
Another initiative supported by Corona is the Shri Phulgali Mitra Mandal Tiffin Seva Charitable Trust under which the “Suraj Parvati Bhojanalaya” serves food to 300 people every day from 11 am till 3 pm, at just Rs.5.
The trust has been engaged in this service for the last 3 decades.
Corona also supports the Late Shri Surajben Laxmidas Mehta Trust which runs a free X-ray clinic and dispensary operated by qualified doctors and organizes free eye checkup and transplant camps.
BLOOD DONATION CAMP
Corona has been instrumental in an noble initiative towards the society by conducting a blood donation camp at its corporate office. A highly encouraged participation is observed every year by all its employees, associates, etc. in this drive and the collected blood units are donated to the Red Cross Society.
